Meet The Windy Knoll AKC German Shepherd Guys

Our small family of German Shepherds is registered with the AKC (American Kennel Club), the registration association of choice for exceptional canines. More importantly, our active and intelligent GSD are all healthy dogs selected for their working dog traits, genetics, and outstanding personalities!

Conscientious German Shepherd Breeders

One of our priorities at Windy Knoll Shepherds is to provide puppies that are suitable companions and working dogs for life. Our foundation for this is our breeding dogs. As conscientious German Shepherd breeders, we test our dogs for common GDS genetic points including DM, GRPRA1, GRPRA2, MD etc. We have them certified with the Orthopedic Foundation of America (OFA) or PennHip to ensure our breeding dogs and their puppies are not prone to genetic weaknesses. X-Ray tests and screens are performed when the dogs reach an appropriate age – usually 2 years old (OFA) and usually around 1 year old (PennHIP). As responsible GSD breeders, we always research our pedigrees for optimal breeding lines.
