Winter has settled into Northern Maine, and even though the air outside is getting sharper and the mornings colder, things feel warm and cheerful here at Windy Knoll Shepherds. Right now, Scout’s litter is in that peaceful early stage where life is wonderfully simple: stay warm, eat well, and sleep as much as possible. They curl up in soft little piles, tucked closely against Scout, and you can almost hear those tiny contented puppy sighs as they drift between naps. Scout has been such a gentle, steady mother. She keeps everyone fed, clean, and perfectly content!
