Venture is a medium-energy working dog from excellent and well-known lines. She is a straight-backed, bi-color German Shepherd who loves her family, is great around kids, and has produced both protection dogs, family dogs and therapy dogs as well. Her daughter, Scout, is a great example of a family GSD who is gentle with children but also keeps an eye on them and protects them from perceived threats. Venture is smart, large, and friendly. She mixes well with other dogs and people, but will put a nuisance puppy in its place if she is bothered.
